Dragon Boating @ Footscray Canoe Club

Hi Playfitters,

We have our next social event coming up on Sat 31st Oct, we would love to see you there!

Dragon Boating @ Footscray Dragon Boating Club.

Located at the Footscray Canoe Club

Details are as follows:

When: Saturday 31st October , 1pm - 2.30pm (1pm arrive and register ready for a 1.30-2.30pm session)

The session will run for 1 hour

Where: Footscray Canoe Club. 40 Farnsworth Ave, Footscray (look for the dragon boats)

What: Come down and try out Dragon boating with us.

One of our members, Kate, is a member of this club.

I promise you will love it, this is just a friendly introduction to this great sport

Friends/partners are welcome!

Dragon boating is a team sport where people paddle a long, narrow boat together, following a drummer’s rhythm and a steerer’s direction. It’s often offered as a group activity, so first-timers can take part without prior experience.

Entry is free!

Please bring a hat, drink bottle, sunscreen, sports clothing and maybe a light jacket.

We can’t wait to catch up with you!

Social Sundays at The Railway Hotel Windsor

Hi Playfitters,

We've had an ongoing relationship with the Railway Hotel in Windsor for a few years now, with the last few Christmas parties and NBA viewing get-togethers being held there. 

Rommer, the venue manager at the Railway, let us know about their "Chillax Sundays" at the venue, and would love to see some Playfitters there. They offer free games of pool all day, drink specials, and a $25 Sunday roast. Perfect to refuel after a game of basketball or two! See the attached image for more info.

A few of us aim to get down there at 3pm this Sunday 19th July, so let us know if you'd be keen to come along. We might even try to make it a regular thing. All Playfitters are welcome to join, not just our Sunday crew!
